My story

I am 57 years old, and found that from age 50 onwards, I had a continual slow weight gain, despite no change in daily activity or food intake. I guess this is age and hormone related, and probably a common phenomenon for women. After a couple of years of keto, and several other “quick fix” diets, I watched my bestie have great success on The 1:1 Diet, and she recommended Carmen and her program. Whilst I needed to lose about 15-20kg to be in a healthy weight range, I was sceptical that this was achievable for me, I would’ve been happy to lose 5-10 kilos, setting my expectations low due to past experience.

So, my journey began, and I found the program really easy to understand, realistic, and the meal replacements were good for me, with a wide range of options. I was really “hangry” for 3 days, then it became easy, and I simply did what I was guided to do. Carmen was supportive every step of the way and helped me forgive myself when I made the occasional slip.

Work was difficult, as no one really understood the process, and often I heard comments such as “soup again, that can’t be good for you”, I found myself internally defending what I was doing, whilst watching people around me eat hot chips and fried food! Despite this, I soldiered on and lost 18kg – people really noticed the positive change and as they inquired, I engaged in discussions with several individuals about it. Now, many of them are embarking on the same journey.

I reached my weight loss goal, having lost 18 kg, and now maintain control by still using the products for breakfast and lunch – I see others around me looking and feeling great because of what this program offers too.

This year I have my son’s wedding, and I can’t wait to wear the dress I’ve picked out – Thanks Carmen and The 1:1 Diet!
